The Short of It

I have a degree in graphic design, and it is my passion.

Currently I live in Minneapolis and work at Anthem, where our main focus is in packaging design. Some of the clients I work with daily include 3M, General Mills and Mars.

I am also employed by individuals for freelance work around the Minneapolis area and across the U.S., including Chicago and New York.

The Longer Version

I'm sure a lot of artists and designers can say that, "from a young age I've known I wanted to go into a career in art", or "I always liked to doodle." I can say those things as well, but, honestly there is more to it than that for me.

To me from a young age, it has always been about creating. When I was in grade school I hung a picture I made in my room of my favorite football player breaking a tackle and scoring a touchdown. Now this wasn't just a kid's drawing of a football player, this was different. I had created a scene by taping many pieces of paper together and drawing the stadium, the fans, and even the player on the ground 20 yards behind the play, with his hands on his head wondering how he was beat so badly.

Along with creating, I work hard on evoking emotions with my design. From the feeling of excitement over receiving a well-crafted invitation to a friend or loved one's celebration, to the comfort and trust found in the look of your favorite brand of snack, I take great pride in evoking these emotions.

I welcome the challenge to continue to create strong work, evoke emotions and push myself further than "I always liked to doodle".
