Summer Painting

I've decided it's time to step away from the computer this Summer, and offer up my artistic services to those in need of unique art for the home.

This Ain't Your Daddy's Football...

It took about a year for my coworker to get me out and try Gaelic Football - the wait was worth it!

I'm having a blast! It's an odd sport to get used to if you've ever played any amount of basketball or soccer, as you're constantly trying not to travel or use your hands... even though that's exactly what you need to do!

For those unfamiliar with the sport, you should check out the video.

Cassettes in the Car

That's right, my car has a cassette player. What?!

Recently I was listening to Led Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy as I was driving Ian to his lacrosse practice. Any time he hears them, he will always ask excitedly "Who is that?!" "What song is this?!", which brings a smile to my face - especially when I'm playing the cassette. Why? Because it's my dad's and it's fun to think about three generations of Foys, not only having similar tastes in music, but listening to the same exact cassette!

Next step is to get a turntable and introduce Ian to the warm and beautiful hisses and pops of a vinyl record.
